can anybody tell me if the earth born titans u can solo drop magmas shields/rares like that??

also, is it possible to farm the last mssion in tyria with all the titans??

I've killed thousands upon thousands of those things, and I got a blue Magma shield ONCE. And it was 15 armor. Shit, the white ones are always max armor. Go figger. Titans are best for rune and material farming. After a full run (~120 titans) you'll have a nice stack of wood, iron, and steel, and quite a few runes that may or may not be of any use. I usually get 2 or 3 lockpicks and an ele tome as well.

After Hard Mode came about, I did get a gold Magma Arm (hammer) to drop, so maybe there's hope for that elusive shield, but don't hold yer breath.

Edit: Ha, I eat my words today, actually got a max purple shield to drop (haven't ID'ed it yet), among other things. Killed about 130 of them in this run (popups vary the total), and got the haul below:

I think 7 gold runes is my personal record for a single run. Money doesn't drop much anymore, but definitely more purps and golds.

If you want a magmas shield i'd suggest chest running in Hells Precipice, i got my first magmas 2 weeks ago -
purple
16 armor
req 9 strength
+9 vs slashing

kvndoom, just out of curiosity: do you still use that Wa/Me IW-build for titan farming you posted here on Guru a year ago?

Would be nice to know that it still works, even in HM

Naw, after the armor nerf, even NM titans are harder than I care for. HM would be impossible. I use the standard 55 Spiteful Spirit / Insidious Parasite Monk, OwQUc4m9UoNiE9h8oesS0i5h9AA

I use 9 Divine and a Holy Rod instead of Totem Axe because a) weakness now reduces attributes and b) green Titans are weak to fire (I've tried a wand with Light Damage and it's outright pitiful), and you'll usually do around 20 per hit with just your wand (except when the Earth Titans put up Ward Against Elements).
